Air-conditioned city buses and minibuses are available on most of the main streets of Hanoi and operate daily from Sam to 7pm -9pm. It is served by Hanoi Transportation and Service Corporation (www.hanoitran serco.com). There is one bus about every 5-10 minutes. The fare is 2,500VND. Bus stop stations are indicated by green signs with white letters and yellow top with the red symbol bus.
It is possible to hire a car with a driver, a Jeep, or even a minibus or a bus, from most tourist offices, hotels, and airline offices.
They can be hired on the street and from many travellers cafes and hotels. The price for renting a motorbike ranges from US$5 to US$10 per day and a bike about US$1. You will have to leave your passport with the owner as a deposit. To be safe, you should always leave your motorbike or bike in a supervised parking area.
There are many companies in Hanoi offering metered taxi services.The common price is about 7.000VND per s'lometre. If you get more than 10km the arice is less, about 4.000VND per kilometre.
